The wonderful cross

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of Glory died

My richest gain I count but loss

And pour contempt on all my pride

See from his head, his hands, his feet

Sorrow and love flow mingled down

Did ever such love and sorrow meet

Or thorns compose so rich a crown

O the wonderful cross,
O the wonderful cross

Bids me come and die and find that I may truly live
O the wonderful cross,
O the wonderful cross
All who gather here
By grace draw near and bless
Your name

Were the whole realm of nature mine

That were an offering far too small

Love so amazing, so divine

Demands my soul, my life, my all

Indescribable God

Wrote this in December 2009 when I realized that our God is all powerful wonderful and so great that it is impossible to even describe Him or His glory. God is indeed indescribable.

The seas were roaring in the night
The oceans showing off it's might
Then His soft whisper passed by and
They all went calm and right

There they stood in majestic claim
The highest mountains, hills and plains
As His glory appeared, they melted
Like wax before the flame

He sits on His heavenly throne
The clouds, the dust of His feet
His presence is the only place
Where heaven and this earth meet

He thunders from His pavilion
He roars from his glorious throne
His wisdom might and understanding
Cannot be comprehended or known

He shows the dawn it's place
He sends lightning bolts on their way
The valleys split at His call
All creation obeys His say

He hangs the Earth on nothing
His word made the seas and land
Lightyears and lightyears of the universe
Lies in the palm of His hand

Perfect God

Wrote this poem in 2007 when I was in 9th std. I get amazed by things that may be common to all; but hardly do they realize that it is not random chaos but God behind all this beauty of Nature. God is Perfect in everything.

Perfect God

Once I sat thinking beside the open window
To see the mountains and the skies and birds flying all low

I marveled and how the snow-white gentle clouds
Could float in the air so gentle without a great crash aloud!

If He could make it all so marvelous and wonderful to be
Just imagine how my great Creator would be!

I saw a little bird which tried it's best to hide it's chicks well,
To stop it from being the feast of the swooping predator cruel

If the little bird cared so much for the chicks on the tree,
Just imagine how caring and loving my Father would be!

The voice of birds singing and flying distracted me
Each bird followed the one preceding with trust and belief

If these birds could by the other birds be so trusted and believed,
Just imagine how much more trustworthy, my friend of all friends would be!

Just then I heard the sound of tapping water drops
That fell on the fields so it could yield good crops

The gentle sound of the drops of water,
Entered my ear as I tried closing the shutter
When I opened again, I gazed at what I saw;
The whole city was drenched in grey and I watched in awe

If He could make this Earth, so beautiful and perfect and clean,
Just imagine, how perfect my God would be!!!

This poem was written by me when I encountered the amazing love of my Father in Heaven.

Amazing Love

I don't know why when one I said
That I really don't need you;
You came to me and whispered,
"I don't wanna' be without you."

It's really difficult to understand
Why you do for me all this,
You always spend your time with me
To fill me with gladness

Each and every moment I spend
All along the worldly day,
You're always there beside me
To listen to each word I say

When I said 'I have no one
Who would all my sorrow
s share',
My love, your beautiful eyes said
to me,
'You'll have no sorrows to bear.

When I sat in the corner
Of the dark and solitary room,
Crushed and broken in pieces
When I was filled with gloom

You came to me, and with your arms holding me tight
You said 'You have no clue'
'My daughter, My child, My love,
How much I love you....!'
